
![]() | Founder & Chairman of the Board Vern Dickman started his business career in 1966. At age 23, he opened the first of the highly successful Gas and Save Service Stations in Northern California. Over the next seven years, he grew his service station chain to include 30 locations. In 1973, Mr. Dickman sold his business and retired at age 30. In 1975, he was approached by Phillips Petroleum Company with a request to take back control of the 30 stations. Within three years, he successfully doubled the business operation to 60 locations. Since then, Dickman has established vested interest and ownership in various restaurants, hotels, ranches, and many land development projects. In 1987, he entered into the video business and successfully created three separate companies with over 400 locations. Dickman has served on the Board of Directors for Utah Valley University, Utah Children’s Center, Duck’s Unlimited Organization, and is an active member of the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce. He has received numerous awards during his career, including the distinguished Silver Award from the United Way. Vern and his wife, Charleen, have five children and twelve grandchildren. He enjoys traveling, hunting and spending time with his family. | |
![]() | President & Chief Executive Officer Jason Ellis joined Spring Communications in April of 2001 as a founding partner and the company’s President and Chief Operating Officer. In a few short years, Ellis built Spring's management team and directed implementation of its operational infrastructure, one of Spring's major business advantages. In September of 2006, Ellis was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer of Spring Communications and its related companies. Under Ellis’ leadership, Spring Communications has aggressively grown the revenue base and has sustained income growth during difficult retail economic conditions. Prior to joining Spring Communications, Ellis was Director of Business Development at Idea Exchange Incorporated. Before his career at Idea Exchange, Ellis was Manager of Financial Analysis for Associates First Capital Corporation, helping oversee a consumer loan portfolio in excess of $100 million. Ellis was named one of Utah's 40 most impressive young business leaders under 40 by Utah Business Magazine in early 2006. He holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Utah and an Executive MBA from Pepperdine University. He is married to his wife Mary, has one child and enjoys exercising and the outdoors. | |
![]() | Chief Financial Officer Kent Forsgren is the Chief Financial Officer of Spring Communications and Simply Mac. Forsgren joined Spring and Simply Mac in April of 2007. Forsgren’s career includes an extensive background in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, M & A strategy and integration, and financial management. Most recently, Forsgren served as CFO for a Sorenson Capital portfolio company where he played a key role implementing key bank and board reporting metrics, implementation of aggressive Venture Capital strategies and procedures, and meeting financial growth goals and expectations. Prior to that, Forsgren was Chief Financial Officer of Forsgren Associates, Inc., and as Vice President / CFO for Reagan National Advertising. Forsgren is also very involved in the local community where he is involved with several boards and committees including serving as Director of the Oakridge Country Club and as a member of the Farmington City Planning Commission. Mr. Forsgren received a BS degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University and has been involved in numerous continuing education activities throughout his career. He also enjoys developing residential real estate in his spare time. He is married, has four children and enjoys skiing, golfing, and spending time with his family. | |
![]() | SVP of Sales Brett M. Bradshaw, SVP Sales, joined Spring Communications in April of 2001 as a founding partner. Under his leadership, Spring has grown to over $50 million in gross sales per year, with 76 stores, and is among America’s fastest growing small businesses according to Inc. 500. Bradshaw has been instrumental in establishing uniform sales, training, and merchandising programs across its revenue units. Bradshaw is responsible for all revenue divisions- including retail, business to business, and call center- training & recruiting, and manages all handset vendor relationships. Bradshaw was introduced to the mobile phone industry in 2000 when he joined Cellular Technologies. Prior to wireless, Bradshaw worked in the fitness and restaurant industries. Bradshaw holds a B.A. in Technical Sales with an emphasis in business management from Weber State University and is fluent in Italian. He is married to his sweetheart Lisa and they have four beautiful children together. Brett enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. | |

As leader of Spring’s operations, Peery is responsible for inventory purchasing and handling, as well as maintenance of IT and point of sale systems. Additionally, his department manages wireless phone pricing as well as all other key retail metrics. | |
![]() | Controller Rex Anderson joined Spring Communications in June 2007. Anderson has eleven years of accounting experience and eight years of management experience. As Controller, he is responsible for providing financial reports and analysis to senior management. Anderson and his team are responsible for all payables, receivables, bank reconciliations, revenue recognition, and other accounting tasks. Anderson holds a B.A. in Accounting with a minor in BIS from Utah State University and a MBA from Pepperdine University. He is married and has two children. ![]() | Director of Training & Recruiting Rick Pearmain joined Spring in 2007 after 11 years in the wireless industry as the Senior Manager of National Retail Training for T-Mobile. As the Director of Training and Recruiting, Pearmain's team is responsible for delivering world-class training to new employees and manager certification programs. Rick's team is also responsible for maintaining staffing levels for all retail stores as well as Spring's Customer Loyalty call center. | |
